Binisafúller Beach

A beach that invites calm

Binisafúller is one of those less known and less traveled coves of Menorca, without knowing very well why, since everything in it invites to stay: a calm and sheltered beach, protected from strong winds and swells, in which tranquility is breathed on all four sides. Children scampering on the shore, white little houses in the surroundings, little fishing boats moored next to them… a textbook view for a relaxation class.

This small white sand beach has been formed by a narrow inlet of the sea on the coast, on the sides of which numerous boats rest. Everything we see around it is a faithful picture of how traditional villages must have looked like in the past.

This image is still preserved in Binisafúller today, except for its west side, where modern buildings impose themselves on the horizon.

What does Binisafúller offer us?

This cove is the perfect place to spend a typical summer day: take a swim at the beach, enjoy practicing some sport in its waters (always paying attention to the boats that come and go continuously) and have a drink in one of the nearby restaurants.

Access to this cove is easy and allows not only to enjoy it, but also to move easily between the surrounding villages (which will greatly increase our leisure options).

It is also worth making a short excursion to the Talayotic settlement of Binisafúller, which, although not very extensive, preserves very interesting remains. Among them is a taula in perfect condition and a talayot (a small watchtower).

Taulas were prehistoric constructions exclusive to the Balearic Islands, which consisted of stacking two large blocks of stone vertically and placing one on top of them horizontally. In this way, they formed together a kind of door that was used for worship rites.
If we are tired of sun and beach, a short walk through the ruins will be a different cultural plan and, for sure, it will be enormously enriching.
