Caló Blanc

Now you see me…

This tiny cove (one of the smallest in Menorca), which is located to the east of Cap d’en Font, and between it and the islet of Binisafúller, finds its twin in Caló Roig.

They are two practically identical little beaches with many reefs and irregularities in the terrain, with a rocky character and a captivating charm. Part of their appeal lies in their volatility: when you go to visit them, you never know if they are going to be there.

Their small size and limited sand space make them very susceptible to changes caused by tides and storms. It is usual in many beaches, that the size of the sandy areas is reduced, but in the case of some of them as Caló Blanc, this can directly disappear.

In its bottoms it is possible to find patches of posidonia whose extension varies from one year to another and, although it is true that its presence is an indicator of its purity, it can be slightly uncomfortable at the time of bathing.

However, if we have to choose between comfortable waters or clean waters… we have it clear. Even with posidonia, the small cove of Caló Blanc has a unique beauty that can be enjoyed in any circumstance.

Caló Blanc in Menorca, how to get there?

Going by road from the Me-5, we will arrive at the crossroads where the talayotic settlement of Binisafúller is located. Turning then to the left, we will have to follow the signs indicating where the beach is located.

There is a parking lot near the same, when we see it we must drive about 500 meters more in direction W, until we find an esplanade that opens to our left. We can leave the car there and follow a path that descends to the cove. In just a few minutes you can be enjoying its waters.
